When the IRS approves a timely filed exemption application, exempt status is recognized back to the date the organization was created. Thus, while an application is pending, the organization can treat itself as exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3). However, contributors to the organization do not have advance assurance of deductibility because the organization's exemption is pending. If the organization ultimately qualifies for exemption for the period in which the contribution is made, the contribution will be tax-deductible by the donor. Alternatively, if the organization ultimately does not qualify for exemption, then the contribution will not be tax deductible.

IC4LIFE IS A (pending) TENNESSEE 501(C)3 NON-PROFIT ORGANIZED FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES AND DEDICATED TO CREATING AND CULTIVATING THE GENERAL PUBLIC’S AWARENESS OF AND APPRECIATION FOR COLLECTIBLES AND RELATED POPULAR ART FORMS, INCLUDING PARTICIPATION IN AND SUPPORT OF PUBLIC PRESENTATIONS, CONVENTIONS, EXHIBITS, MUSEUMS AND OTHER PUBLIC OUTREACH ACTIVITIES WHICH CELEBRATE THE HISTORIC AND ONGOING CONTRIBUTION OF COLLECTIBLES TO ART AND CULTURE.

IC4Life is a new non-profit organization dedicated to creating the general public's awareness of and appreciation for collectibles and related popular art forms. We believe that collectibles are an important part of our history and culture, and we want to share our love of collecting with the world.

The IC4Life Mission:

• Create awareness about the history and significance of authentic collectibles to the general public

• Promote the appreciation of collectibles as art and cultural artifacts

• Support public outreach activities that celebrate the contribution of authentic collectibles to art and culture

• Provide IC Memorial live sales for subscribing members families

• Raise funds for an Imperial Commissary Collectors Museum and Event Center

What We Do

IC4Life offers a variety of programs and services to achieve our mission, including:

• Awareness programs: We offer collectible awareness programs for all ages, from school outreach to lectures and workshops. Our programs teach participants about the history, value, and care of collectibles.

• Public outreach activities: We support public outreach activities that celebrate the contribution of collectibles to art and culture, such as museum exhibits, conventions, and festivals.

• Advocacy: We advocate for the preservation and protection of collectibles. We work to raise awareness of the importance of authentic collectibles to our history and culture.

• IC Memorial Live Sales: In the event a member passes away the family can request to have an IC Memorial Live Sale. Donations will fund reps flying in and creating a live sale event to sell any and all Vintage toys in a memorial live auction format.

Collectibles can also be a source of great joy and satisfaction. They can connect us to our childhood memories, our families, and our communities.

There are many ways to get involved, including:

• Donate: Your donation will help us to continue offering awareness programs, supporting public outreach activities, and advocating for the preservation and protection of collectibles (100% Tax Deductible when/if Non-Profit Status is approved).

• Be a monthly subscriber: for a small fee per month (not tax deductible) you will qualify for an IC Memorial live sale for your family at the time of your passing.

• Volunteer: We need volunteers to help with a variety of tasks, from organizing events, staffing, IC Memorial Auctioneers, and our various other outreach programs.

• Spread the word: Tell your friends and family about IC4Life and our mission. Share our social media posts and invite your friends to join our organization.

What do I get for my donation?

Besides the great feeling you get knowing you are conserving the hobby you love for future generations, you also get an IC Rank listed on the Imperial Commissary Officer’s page and the right to attend the IC4Life bi-annual meeting at ICCC where new projects are decided.
